Michigan sunsets are grand. We live on a lake and that makes them even more intense, I swear. Part of it is that there is not as much blocking the intense view of the color, the texture, the shapes of the clouds. These thin, wispy clouds were ablaze with gold, bittersweet orange, lavender, bronze, and gray/blue. It was truly a spectacle. It feels like a five alarm fire in the autumn sky.
Although I've used this image as a backdrop for verbiage and overlays, all by itself it is still stunning. I think when I stare at it for any length of time, I truly feel the touch of the Divine as the sun melts away into the horizon and the day is done.

My memories begin as a five-year-old-free-spirit discovering and creating anything 'beautiful.' I was bold, creative, curious, and loved adventure. It stands to reason that when I spray painted the neighbor's black hearse a sparkling shade of silver that I was destined to be an artist.
