Description
I grow zinnias in my garden because they are the happiest flower I know. Dahlias are finicky and elegant and beautiful. Tulips and peonies are ernest and delightful. But a zinnia, well, they are just simply happy! They are easy and bright and playful. I grow them from seed after the last frost has left our Michigan ground. Each flower is different. Each center is different. They are like a party surprise on a stem! To top it off, they do splendidly in a vase and last longer than all the other flowers as if to prolong their effect on those who adore them.
