Description
On a visit to Maryland to see my brother and his family, he and I went for a drive in his little sports car on the hilly roads of horse country where he lives. It was great fun. I felt like I was on a roller coaster. It reminded me of when we were young and we would do crazy, dangerous things.
As we zoomed down the road, I glanced at the moon rising over the most unusual site; a family graveyard in a farm field with a fence in front of it. Now, this is in the middle of subdivision city! Seriously! The other crazy part was there was an electric fence at the road itself on top of this fence out in the field. I mean, no one is dying to get in and the dead sure can't get out, so go figure!
I asked my brother to go back. I snuck under the electric fence and ran close enough to grab this hand-held photograph back when digital cameras weren't quite what they are today.
It has always been titled "Big Brother's Wild Ride" to me. It hangs in his office to remind him of a favorite moment between siblings. But no one would get that title, so I renamed it Twilight Tombstones.
