Description
This canna lily is called Tropicanna Gold. Its tall stems are crowned with vivid orange-yellow flowers with dark orange speckled throats. The plant's large, exotic leaves, striped green and gold, add dramatic interest wherever it grows. It is a stunning example of floral beauty!
This is my sister's plant here in Michigan. Although cannas' rhizomes need to come out of the ground before the hard frost in our Zone 5, it's worth the trouble, much like dahlias.
This canna version was originally created in New Zealand.
