Description
A water lily sits in the rain. Alone. As the sky opens up and fills her petals full until they slide off into the surrounding water joining the trillions before them.
This is officially my first piece of digital artwork since my mother died. It left me barren of nothing but tears for a long time. I wondered if I would ever feel joy creating art again. It simply left my soul.
Thanks to fellow artists who encouraged me to 'just begin', and taking a challenge to photograph liquid for seven days, I did just that.
It started small. Mother earth accommodated me and my assignment by providing lots of rain for days. The third day I jumped in rain puddles and felt joy again. By the fifth day, I was able to get lost in creating this piece. I am forever grateful for kind hearts and angels who helped me regain my joy in creating art. One day at a time. One piece at a time. Just finally feeling alive inside with joy and gratitude to share nature's beauty once again.
