Description
As the sun rose, and my love slept at such an early hour on vacation, I wander the beach. I love the shoreline on the ocean, a lake, any body of water. Listening to the water lapping up against the shore before beachcombers are everywhere. Dawn is the best time to explore. But anytime of day to explore the shore works.
As I wander the beach, it is teaming with tiny creatures revealed by the waves as they sweep up and then sweep away. The birds fish for delicacies uncovered by the waves, gingerly high-stepping to keep from getting caught by the waves.
The wet sand, yet untouched after the wave rolls away, is like a blank canvas waiting for me to share what I'm thinking and feeling. So I scribble messages that will never be seen, messages that stay for a little while, and messages that never even get finished before the waves take them away.
As I continue my explorations for treasures from the sea, I leave nothing but footprints and messages in the sand.
Good morning, my love. This one is for you.
