Artist's Description

The Palazzo Pitti, or Pitti Palace, is a, mainly Renaissance, palace in Florence, Italy. The palace was bought in 1549 by the Medici family and was their chief residence. In the late 18th century, it was the base of Napoleon. It was donated to the Italian people by King Victor Emmanuel III in 1919.

This ancient Roman statue of Hercules shows him wearing the skin of the Medean Lion and was purchased by the Medici for the palace.

Today it is the largest museum complex in Florence, Italy.

I then share our travel destinations with others so they can experience the beauty out there too. Another passion of mine is ornamental gardening. Flowers...
