Summer's roses in Michigan are abundant, beautiful, and colorful. Although I grow many varieties, I do not own a white rose. I walked through a garden recently of a friend and ran across this beauty as the sun lay low in the sky.
I stopped and had to do a double take at the beauty of its soft petals that burst forth like the layers of a bridal dress in dance. As much as I love color, I don't believe there is anything more beautiful than the many shades of white created by the light as it dances into the shadows to create depth and interest.
This white rose is simple, clean, peaceful, beautiful, pristine. It will always be my favorite color in flowers.
