In Michigan, Autumn is magnificent. On a stroll through the local town I lived in, I looked up and saw this. The wisps of clouds in the blue sky, the gold and burnt orange of the Maple tree against the green tree in the background and blue sky.... all an awesome scene that only in states with deciduous trees can this be witnessed.
This would explain why fall is Michigan's busiest season, as tourists come for fall color tours to see this splendor for themselves. The crisp air, the colorful forests, the blue water, the smell of burning leaves, apple cider, pumpkins... it is my favorite season... until spring comes. :) And we welcome tourists here. So come for a visit and see what the real 'up north' is all about!
