Description
This anthurium struck me in the not-so-bright light with the curved lines of the leaves supporting the central focus of the white bloom, which is not actually a flower at all, but a leaf called a spathe.
This exotic species can be difficult to photograph because of the shine that reflects off the waxy leaf from the light source, but the dim source here really brought out the beauty of this plant. It can also be more difficult to capture because the colored leaf folds over away from the spike creating hard angles unlike most flowers. The spike is why it is sometimes referred to as a 'boy plant', thus the name I gave this image.
I loved the color combination of the deep green, soft white, and dark pink, almost red shade of the spike. I hope you enjoy it as well.
