Description
My mother has been working at growing orchids the last couple years. She tends to them with such motherly care. I came up for a visit and she was beyond excited to show me that although this particular orchid had been healthy for a very long time, it had not bloomed. And voila, a bud and two blossoms! The soft pastels of this flower with its unusual combination of pink that leans to lavender and its lime green were an interesting combination so I decided to try to capture the image for her with my cell phone, since my big girl camera was not with me.
I ended up using a texture overlay filled with colors that complimented it to create an artistic feel showcasing this large, lovely orchid bloom.
It seemed like a fitting name for the results of my mother's green thumb and loving care.
