This still life is very personal. My favorite flower in an empty bottle of Rosé, with a cup of tea in a cup from my mother. My dahlia book sits there waiting for me to enjoy it. My glasses are near for morning reading. The color scheme is just simply me; blush, pink, pale pastel, almost peach. Soft. It's my morning mood. And I'm at a time in my life where I can indulge in this. I am most grateful. Every time I gaze at this image, I think of my dear friend and fellow artist, Teri. She gave me the book and this is her favorite color. The gentleness of the image and all it represents are like her too.
I imagine getting inspiration here in this still life. Planning for more beauty in the garden. Because the more grateful we are, the more beauty we see. Enjoy.
