Description
Tulips are such happy flowers filled with promise of what is yet to come in the garden. They are the harbingers of Spring. I took this closeup of the back of a lime and yellow variegated tulip as the light illuminated the petals. The composition and perspective just struck me as so much more interesting than the front of the flower, which is rare.
There is such perfection and beauty in the details of a flower. The flow of the colors in this particular image work exceedingly well together. They feel happy, alive, even joyful! As if to blare out the message "Spring is Here"!
