Description
As the rain poured down a chilly spring day, we visited this castle that belongs to Benedictine nuns in Connemara County, Galway, Ireland. True to the imagined thoughts of the weather and landscape there, it was chilly, wet, rainy, and emerald green. Very beautiful country for sure. I was in full rain gear for both my equipment and myself AND had my husband holding a large umbrella over me in order to photograph this beautiful scene. I still easily recall the chill, the wet, the lush beauty of it all. Spring in Ireland has to even be more beautiful than any other time because not only is it that spring lime green, but the flowers like the azalea in the background are in bloom.

Love the inclusion of the boat and dock! Sadly it was all covered in scaffolding the day I visited.
