I woke this morning with a heavy heart, having dreamt of my dear friend, Marc, who just died. I headed out to the garden to lift my spirits and lay my heavy heart down. It is also Roby's birthday, and I was thinking how fortunate we are to celebrate birthdays; each one such a gift. Maya Angelou said 'This is a wonderful day. I've never seen this one before.'
The cloud cover provided the right light and shadowless realm for me to capture this luminous morning glory tribute to both my friends. My spirits are lifted as I am reminded
that both heaven and earth are threads from one loom.
Morning glories are annual plants that often reseed themselves. They have heart-shaped leaves and grow on vines up to 10 feet in height given enough sun! This particular morning glory is called 'Heavenly Blue'. Perfect for the day.
