Description

These house finches in a Michigan blizzard were comical as they picked off the berries on this tree. My little red feathered friends. They love this berry bush for its abundance of juicy, red berries left from autumn. They fly back and forth from this tree to a feeder a ways a way. So I sit and watch their antics soaring and flitting around, enjoying a blustery day. They are plentiful in Michigan. Once our lake freezes over, I put out a heated bath for them to drink from and bathe in. They aren't skittish of humans at all and seem to pose for me, although I'm certainly using a long lens.
