As the sun peaked up over the horizon, I caught these fishermen from a dock in the golden light of an early morning mist. They didn't see me at first. They chatted amongst themselves, enjoying the peace of the lake. The fish were biting. It was chilly and they were drinking coffee while fishing. The perfect sport for friends to enjoy together.

I loved everything about the scene; the color of the sky, land, and water all looking the same golden brown, the reflection of the men in the water, the mist swirling about and blocking the shoreline of houses behind them, the overall peace of the scene.

Sadly, when they saw me, they took off. I'll never know who they were to be able to share this moment with them frozen in time of friends relaxing and sharing quiet time together doing what they loved. As many times as I've tried to recreate this scene, it has not happened. Mother Nature and her mysterious beauty cannot be reproduced exactly as it was.
