Description
Huron River Drive that runs along the Huron River between Dexter and Ann Arbor, Michigan, in the United States is a beautiful, winding, tree-lined road that shows the very best of what Michigan looks like. Every season this drive is gorgeous. The sunlight peaks through the tree cover and dapples the road with sunlight. The leaves in autumn are plush and colorful. The summer reveals fishermen fishing in the shallows of the Huron River that runs along side of it. In the winter, the snow-covered branches reveal why Michigan is referred to as a winter wonderland. It is a must see if you are ever in the area.
This is a very old image created from one of the original digital cameras when they first became available converted to infrared. The road never looks the same twice. So although I have this image in every season, this is still my favorite for it's dreamlike quality. It is one of my most sold images.

In addition to the banner, I am adding this more permanent recognition of its FEATURE on the homepage of A TREE OR TREES IN BLACK AND WHITE. I try mightily to feature only images that would be at home in a juried competition. No doubt that this image fits that bill. CONGRATULATIONS! And consider adding your image to DISCUSSIONS "Please post your featured photograph here" for greater, long-lasting visibility.

Outstanding and stunning, Jill! Black and white artwork is a favorite of mine, and this says why. Simply beautiful! It's no wonder it is one of your best sellers. The composition, perspective, and lighting are superb. As always, a great story that just takes you there! LF 💕Janet

Jill, I Agree! There’s something about soft charcoal...that and graphite and Indian ink, all manner of chiaroscuro was my early medium of choice. It still takes my breath away! Still love this photograph, Jill.

No wonder that it’s a people’s choice as it has sold so well. My Grandmother worked with B&W charcoal portraits. She always encouraged my art and taught me her unique technique, Jill. This is truly an image where our imaginations can run wild...we can imagine it with fall, winter, spring, or summer colors. The temperature of those seasons. To be out on that curvy, beautiful road all to ourselves. Splendid work here!....Fav / Like

Thank you, Jerry. I appreciate your comments. As a young girl, I used to work with charcoal and loved it. It is truly a beautiful road in all seasons. Come for a visit! :)
