Description
On a beautiful summer day in Michigan, I visited my mother's garden and witnessed her new canna lilies that were 10 feet tall! They are a bulb plant and need to be dug up every year, so as much as I like to garden, I've never grown them.
I sat on my parents' deck and marveled at the size of this beautiful plant, the varying shades of the leaves, the size and shape of the leaves, everything about it. Midday sun and no camera but my phone challenges one to be creative! I took the challenge and spent an amazing moment in time admiring and capturing this beautiful giant in its glory.
Needless to say, I will indeed be growing them next year. (laughter). Thanks, mom, for taking those muddy bulbs in a cardboard box at the gym and turning them into something so amazing. You always were a visionary.
