Description
I used to drive by this barrel and saddle every day. I loved the Mules sign and the old leather. It was a great throwback to another time in present day life.
I stopped one day and grabbed this image planning to return and take it again after rearranging the venue a bit. Ironically, even though the Mill Saddle Man had been there for years, he moved out the next week and the scene only lives here in this image now.
The barrel says "Lucky" and was the name of the horse of a little girl who the barrel belonged to for her saddle many years ago. Her mother came upon my image quite by accident and was astonished to see it again. She told me the story of the barrel. For a little while, she was back in the saddle again.
Time doesn't stand still. The saddle, the sign, the barrel. All gone now. Only the memories remain.
