On an Autumn day in Michigan, as the last of the firebush laid on the ground, I noticed the brilliance of their red leaves contrasted with the gold and orange maple leaves. The berries are from a decorative crabapple tree which keeps the birds happy all Winter long. And the last little acorn, hides among the leaves not revealing that the chipmunks already ate its fleshy pulp inside. I believe there is nothing more beautiful that autumn where the leaves turn and drop and rest before coming alive again in Springtime. Pure Michigan here. A state that makes a spectacle of mother nature's gifts with every season.

My memories begin as a five-year-old-free-spirit discovering and creating anything 'beautiful.' I was bold, creative, curious, and loved adventure. It stands to reason that when I spray painted the neighbor's black hearse a sparkling shade of silver that I was destined to be an artist. Now that I'm in my 7th decade, my free spirit has settled down a bit (the hearse owner would be glad). Still, curiosity, creativity, and an eye for beauty define me. Lots of things inspire me in my art. I love traveling, and have been afforded the opportunity to see wonderful places all over the world.
