As sun set on the Huron River in Dexter, Michigan, I was taken with this dying tree in the surrounding wetlands with its roots exposed and how the shape of them mirrored the reflection and ripples in the water. The golden sunlight of dusk is always a sight to behold. It is worth stopping and witnessing. Set against the last of the leaves that have turned to oranges, browns, and golds, it reminds one of the peace and beauty of nature just waiting for us to stop and drink it in and let it warm our souls on a cool autumn evening as the sun says goodbye.
