Description
There is nothing as intoxicating outdoors as a Michigan spring, well at least until autumn, that is. The air is heavy with the scent of everything in bloom. Michigan springs bring big thunderstorms. They say April showers bring May flowers and today is the 1st of May.
The rain came down in buckets and the sky lit up. The thunder sounds like cannons going off. Then the earth gets still when it's over. Everything is heavy with raindrops in the stillness, and it's a perfect time to capture nature's beauty. The fuchsia pink blossoms and green leaves in this image of crabapple blossoms just pop, as they are drunk with the renewing rain that gives them strength to bear fruit when summer comes.
